TypeError: Cannot read property 'then' of undefined #149

I'm using custom input directive which sometimes may use a mask sometimes not.

If i don't put a mask i have this error: TypeError: Cannot read property 'then' of undefined.

Is there a way to fix it if not is there a pattern that i can put as default mask which accept any time of string with any type of character.

I get this too when using an binding that may return nothing.
mask="" should not cause an error for me.
