Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe:

When queries are executing all plugin access is blocked.

Describe the solution you'd like:

Queries to run in the background so other plugin access (like network requests, etc.) still work.

Describe alternatives you've considered:

Trying to optimize db to speed up queries.
