Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe

It would be awesome if you could create and maintain a unique Changelog for Code Snippets Pro.

Currently, this is what I'm experiencing:

  1. Code Snippets Free and Code Snippets Pro share the same changelog link.

  2. The changelog link shared in Item 1. above does not agree with Github's latest changelog for Code Snippets Pro.

  3. As of today (2025-02-20), non-official links suggest the latest Code Snippets Pro revision is 3.6.9; the link in Item 1. above suggests it's 3..6.8, and Item 2. above says it's 3.6.7. Which one is correct?

If I can help in any way, please let me know. Perhaps a blog on this subject would be helpful as well.

Until then, what official source/link shall we use to determine the latest revision of Code Snippets Pro?

Thank you :)

Describe the solution you'd like

  1. Create unique changelogs for CS Free and CS Pro.
  2. Release a blog announcing the official changelogs for CS Free and CS Pro.
  3. Ensure the Github changelogs for CS Free and CS Pro agree with WordPress' changelog (or any other official one).

Describe alternatives you've considered

  1. Reaching out to developer to obtain latest, official plugin revision (not ideal).
  2. Relying exclusively on plugin (backend) updates (not ideal).

To futher assist with the above, Rank Math SEO has a great-looking changelog for its products.

Details: https://rankmath.com/changelog/pro/

From the Rank Math SEO Team:

We prefer to create unique changelogs for our products. This way, it's easier to track the latest changes made to each product. Please note the latest version of our Pro plugin will not run correctly unless the latest version of the Free plugin is installed.

Note: In your case -- if you adopt this enhancement request -- you could state: "The latest version of Code Snippets Pro automatically includes the latest changes of Code Snippets Free."

Also, to prevent confusion, please note that Rank Math SEO does not list the changes made to their Pro plugin within the Development section of their Free plugin. Recon, they are two separate plugins.

Details: https://wordpress.org/plugins/seo-by-rank-math/#developers

In my opinion, the above is the correct way to manage plugin changelogs.

Cheers!
