do we have an issue for adding tests for cli's? I recall seeing (I believe someplace in sdk) that these can be tested). edit: it was in x/bank's client |

3 years ago I tried adding cli tests, but due to globals, cli tests couldn't be added for any ibc commands that require 2 chains running at the same time (globals prevent spinning up 2 chains). So I abandoned the effort. At this point, e2e's could be used to test cli. I'm unsure if the globals issue has been fixed |

can't the authority (i.e. signer) be taken from the --from flag?

I would assume so, this follows what sdk is up to, can switch around if you think it would be okay to do so
