Quite a few artists have artwork that doesn't work very well as a background for several reasons. Sometimes the image gets awkwardly cropped, which is pretty common on vertical monitors, and sometimes the artists choose artwork that's just plain ugly. This problem also applies to a lot of album art.
What I'm suggesting is a way to replace these images with one of your choice that's a better fit for full screen.
➕ Additional Information
I'm thinking a button you can activate in the settings to upload a custom image for that artist, could be put at the bottom of the screen from the looks of it. The uploaded image gets saved to some folder in the spicetify directory. And if there's an image that corresponds to the artist that's playing the extension loads that instead of the artist artwork from Spotify.
Just uploading from your computer would be great, but if you wanted to there's also the possibility of integrating it with something like fanart.tv for example.
Examples of artwork that doesn't work very well:
Would prefer to see the artist instead of her armpit. N BERT S SO
Would prefer to see the artist instead of just his shoulder in the corner
Oat milk?
