Recently I got a Pico W for this purpose, and I have been experimenting with different payloads. After a while, my Pico started to mistype words, skip characters, go a little early, etc. This basically deemed the Pico useless.
Another issue I have been facing is that connecting the GP0 and the GND does not make the Pico show up as CIRCUITPY, but it just stops the payload from injecting and does nothing else. Instead, every time I needed to change the payload, I would just put the flash_nuke.uf2 file to reset it, and setup the Pico W with the new payload.
I expected the scripts to run normally, but instead it would mistype.
I wanted to post this issue to see if anybody else might have had this same issue, but there still is a chance that it just might be with my Pico W itself.
