Welcome to Bharat Lyft ( A NOT FOR PROFIT APPLICATION)

Introduction:

Carpooling has always been a requirement for a country like India because of its large population and the resulting traffic issues.

We had always thought that carpooling can be achieved consistently if the enabling environment is taking a scrupulous approach over the current ad-hoc one.

With Bharat Lyft one can both offer a ride or request one.

In both cases, the system is nonpartisan and doesn't offer an edge to either of the parties. When a person offers a ride, we do not expect her to get to the exact location of the requester. Similarly, we wouldn't want the requester to spend a lot of time reaching a specific pickup point.

We find the optimal ride offerer(in terms of time also) who can get to the requester's most nearby location at the desired time without any deviation in her route. (Similar computation is done for the requester's drop point).

The system provides continuous navigation abilities during the course of the ride.

WorkFlow:

The ride seeker enters the source and destination of his travel and a desired time for the pickup

The ride provider who starts his travel to destination reaches Bharat Lyft and enters his destination.

Assignment

The ride provider is assigned with a ride seeker. This assignment takes into account, the preferences of both the seeker and provider. The ride provider will be able to look at the details of the ride seeker.

Map 1

The ride provider is offered with navigation for the entire trip. Here A denotes the pickup point of the ride seeker. Note that the ride provider doesn't deviate from his route.

Map 2

This shows the drop point of the ride seeker. Observe that the ride seeker wanted to get to Southern Railway Headquarters Hospital and B denotes the most optimal point at which the seeker can get dropped. Again observe that the provider doesn't deviate from his route.

Map-3

After the service, the ride provider can reach his destination.
