Investigate latest versions of things like .NET and React. Read changelogs.
Update all dependencies: merge PRs from the bot, update everything else, check builds, update docs if needed.

The code base is really tiny at the moment. This is the best time to upgrade before diving into development. Let's get this project rolling.

@lucky-ly Please do the backend part of this.
