System

  • OS name: Fedora
  • OS version: 39
  • Browser name: Firefox
  • Browser version: 121.0

Extension

  • Extension version: 2.0.1
  • User input simulation: YES
  • Client app version: 0.3.0
  • Client app installed successfully: yes

Bug description
On Wayland session, client application fails to do anything when Simulate user interactions option is enabled.
The extension shows the popup:

Something went wrong. Open the browser console for more details.

And the browser console contains:

stderr output from native app org.buster.client: load_input_helper [1900]: XkbGetKeyboard failed to locate a valid keyboard!

The extension and the client works fine without Simulate user interactions option.

Can confirm this bug on Arch Linux (running Wayland GNOME) as well. Disabling the option is a valid workaround, so thanks for that tip :)

Confirming this is still an issue on my Aurora setup - an immutable version of Fedora running KDE.
