57608 is a significant change in functionality (and now public apis) that will take team approval first to be accepted. Will need someone like @jaredpar to say if we want to go this route |

Appreciate you taking the time to read the contribution docs and start a discussion about this. But this is a particular issue that we'd likely want to tackle ourselves. This features touches most aspects of development: compiler, build system and IDE. It also likely require coordination across several other teams (msbuild and aspnetcore) to make sure we hone in the feature correctly. This is the type of work we generally take on ourselves due to the complexity and the cross team coordination that has to occur. |

Hi all,
I've been reading through the Contributing to Roslyn document and would like to start on issue #57608. However, when finding an issue to work on I see that before submitting the pull request I should "You find an existing issue with the
help-wanted
label or discuss with the team to agree on adding a new issue with that label".So, are the only eligible contributions from the community allowed on issues with the
help-wanted
label? If yes, then what criteria must be met to get the Roslyn team to add that label to an existing issue (if any)?Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
