  1. If you don't have a password manager like 1Password, KeePass, or Bitwarden, get one now. You'll need it to keep your Backblaze credentials safe.

  2. If you don't have a Backblaze B2 account, create one now.

  3. Create a bucket. Jackpot will store its library here. Save the bucket name and endpoint address in your password manager.

    • Bucket Unique Name — Choose a new name. A good choice might be [yourname]-jackpot.

    • Files in Bucket are — Choose "Private."

    • Default Encryption — Choose "Disable." Jackpot uses end-to-end encryption which is more secure than Backblaze-managed encryption.

    • Object Lock — Choose "Disable." This feature is incompatible with Jackpot.

  4. Create an application key. Jackpot will use these credentials to log into Backblaze B2. Once created, you'll be given a "keyID" and "applicationKey." Save these in your password manager.

    • Name of Key — Choose a new name. A good choice might be jackpot.

    • Allow access to Bucket(s) — Choose the bucket you created in the previous step.

    • Type of Access — Choose "Read and Write."

    • Allow List All Bucket Names — Leave unchecked.

    • File name prefix — Leave blank.

    • Duration (seconds) — Leave blank.

  5. Choose an encryption password. This is used by Jackpot to secure all library files before they are uploaded to Backblaze B2. Save this in your password manager. If you lose this password, you won't be able to access your library!

  6. Download and install Jackpot. Just double-click the .msixbundle file and follow the on-screen prompts.

  7. When prompted, enter the information you recorded in your password manager above:

    • Bucket name

    • Bucket endpoint address

    • keyID

    • applicationKey

    • Encryption password

  8. Click Connect to create your library and open Jackpot.

  9. Click the "Import" tab to begin adding your movies to your Jackpot library. You're in business!
