Hey, this is sort of a known issue. There are certain datasets etc where the face recognition currently is not robust and causes the app to crash. Just wanted to ack your issue - we know of this, and are working on fixing these edge cases as we come closer to make this feature ready for a general release.

I'll keep this issue open until we've hit the required stability for this feature.

Closing this since all these edge cases have been fixed. With the recent versions 1.7.7 etc, ML in the desktop app has reached stability.
