Examples, tips and tools for effective data management in Environmental Systems Science.

  • Formats convenient for collecting data in the field
  • Formats needed to integrate and analyze data
  • Concepts of relational data modeling to create 'tidy' data - making data ceasier to search and filter, document, and analyze
  • Real world examples of reusable data

Relationship to ESS-DIVE?

Many scientists are trained extensively in methods to collect and analyze data, but not how to effectively manage and preserve that data.
