Howdy, thanks for sharing your work on my blog develmonk.com - it seems really cool and helpful for people!
I used to think people were pretty nit-picky about this sort of thing when I was really into ZFS and wanting it to be adopted in the Linux kernel, so I apologize in advance if I come off as being stick-up-the-ass-ish, but:
I noticed you use GZip and just wanted to mention your project needs to reflect GPL licensing from the FSF: https://www.gnu.org/software/gzip/
The GPL requires all software that uses it in any way (even using another piece of software that uses it, like Gztool) be released under the GPL, and that all software derived from it release the source code for public review.
GPL licensing has created a shift away from the hoarding of intellectual property that's been a business strategy for megabucks-corps like Apple and Microsoft, and a lot of the work we do today would be either impossible or severely hampered were it not for GPL's proliferation by software developers (whether ideologically or inadvertently).

And thanks again for telling me about your software, I'm definitely putting it to work if I ever use Windows again... :D
