Descending parameter override in CouchDBView

It seems to me that if you query a view with the parameter descending = false (couchDBView.sync(db, design, view, {descending:false}), this gets overridden somehow in CouchDBTools (is it Tools.mixin({
feed: "continuous",
heartbeat: 20000,
descending: true
}, _syncInfo.query);
that's causing it?)
