timezone set to EST despite system settings

Describe the bug

the timezone is current set to EST (per using the Z tag in daily notes) when I am in AEST

this may just be a confusion between the two?

Expected behavior

it should be today, it is yesterday

Jokes aside, I am not sure I understand what you mean by

per using the Z tag in daily notes

Taking a first look at the code I don't see any obvious culprit.
Will try do some testing when there when the time difference between europe and australia is such that it would produce different days.

If in the meantime you have any other info, please do share

My apologies for the delay!

There is an attic where you are more than welcome to stay while putting in place this fix.

I had a look at the code myself, and even checked everywhere I could find in terms of system locations but wasn't able to figure out where this might be going wrong.

As for further information, here is a demonstration--although I'm not sure whether that will really help!

I wonder if it's an issue with VS Code or some local settings?
Not being able to reproduce it, there is not much I can do atm.
I will leave this open for a bit, in case other people are experiencing the same problem.
