From d292a725db7e0e8d77196bf9d176b877e77f1258 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Victor Petrovykh Date: Fri, 5 Apr 2024 05:56:30 -0400 Subject: [PATCH 1/3] Make conflict detection between branch and database less strict. It is an error to specify `database` and `branch` at the same time on the same configuration level. It is OK to override previous configuration with either `database` or `branch`. It is OK for the credentials file to contain both `database` and `branch` fields in order to facilitate transitioning from old style to the new style while maintaining backwards compatibility. The values must agree, though. --- edgedb/con_utils.py | 82 ++++++++++++++--------------------- edgedb/credentials.py | 7 +-- tests/shared-client-testcases | 2 +- 3 files changed, 38 insertions(+), 53 deletions(-) diff --git a/edgedb/con_utils.py b/edgedb/con_utils.py index 52d4f0cc..28fbf673 100644 --- a/edgedb/con_utils.py +++ b/edgedb/con_utils.py @@ -182,8 +182,8 @@ class ResolvedConnectConfig: _port_source = None # We keep track of database and branch separately, because we want to make -
