MCP integration to provide external set of tools

Hello everyone! I really like what I see in oterm. But regarding tools, it is still left to user to provide the definitions and implementations. On the other end of the rainbow there's a new shining thing called MCP. I'm still trying to grasp how it works in tech details but I have the impression that this could be the missing link to opening the doors to a brand new set of tools that work "out of the box".

For more background please see ollama/ollama#7865 but I think that oterm is a better place where it could exist than ollama itself.

I'm not requesting an issue, I just want to spread the knowledge and spark a discussion.

Would like to know your opinion on the topic.

I find this super interesting, thanks for the pointer, I wasn't aware of MCP.
I will have a look at the concept and how it could be implemented.
Are there any takers in terms of implementing this for Ollama/oterm?
