The 64drive has well documented interfaces for SD and USB access, even Wi-Fi in the future. Porting the existing ED64 file saving/loading and remote debugging features to the 64drive would be appreciated.

Does 64Drive have any documentation (or SDK/API) regarding this? I believe the ED64 functionality is based on the IO Sources provided by Kirkz at the moment, though I could be mistaken. 😄

Of particular interest are the Hardware Specification and the Sample: USB 1 links.

Adding 64drive support should be perfectly doable. From what I've seen, the 64drive is superior to the ED64 in every way, including a much nicer and more well documented hardware interface. The only drawback is the price, which makes it a less attractive choice for most players. I don't currently own a 64drive to test with, and I will not be implementing support for it until I can acquire one, which I'm not planning to do in the near future. The demand for 64drive support is low (this is the first time it has been asked for), though I agree that it would be a nice thing to have.

I have a 64Drive HW2 that I can use for testing. If you ever want upload a build, I could test it.
