Syncing LDAP attributes for existing users

I created a LDAP Source Property Mapping to sync an attribute from my LDAP Source to my user attributes. For new users, this new attribute can then be found in the Users Attributes when i go into the Update User menu. However, for users that already existed before i added this Property Mapping, this attribute does not show up. Is this expected behaviour? If so, that would be pretty annoying...

The issue was, that the ldap_uniq attribute was not correct and therefore the users were not syncing.
