Description

Image lags when the FPS is unlocked or too high

The situation is as follows and very strange:
Geometry Dash is a game capable of delivering up to 6k FPS on my PC in the menu, at the BUSSIN level (no joke) in this case, I get ~ 2000 fps at the beginning until the moment I move to the main part of the level - there I literally see a slideshow, despite the FPS counter in the game shows me over 800 frames ...
At the same time, if I limit the FPS to 540 (or another certain value that is below 800) - this will not happen.

A similar problem is present in The Witcher 3.
I get ~75 fps in a certain scene and they look VERY smooth - as long as vertical sync is on...
As soon as I turn it off, the FPS doesn't change, but the picture become lagging.

I see the same effects in DOOM Eternal, although it's much more difficult to achieve there, and my average FPS in DOOM Eternal is generally higher than on Windows(Which is amazing)

How to reproduce

I'm sorry that I'm doing this through video, but still...

Okay
This did fix the issue in games, however it causes problems when capturing via Pipewire.

The output image is discontinuous, like frames from a matrix.
No idea how this could be fixed too?
