Reporting a bug?

The Algolia search engine on the documentation website does not return results for any search keywords.

I've been experiencing this for a long time now, and I've tested it in multiple browsers.

Expected behavior

The search engine returns results for the keywords found in the document.

Reproduction

System Info

Firefox and Chromium browsers

Additional context

It is possible that the location also affects the operation, I am in the European Union, I am viewing the website from here.

+1. May need to check the algolia settings.

welcome contribution!

@kazupon I don't think we can help...because the hits returned by algolia are empty.

@g1eny0ung
vue-i18n has been using docsearch.
https://github.com/algolia/docsearch
vue-i18n is OSS, so I think that is free to use.

I don't remember when it stopped working, but I seem it's probably due to vue-i18n docs not being able to keep up with algolia docsearch's breaking changes. 😢

@kazupon I tried to update the algolia config of vitepress, but the hits are still empty.

I agree with your thoughts. To identify the source of the error, you can examine the crawler via this link (https://docsearch.algolia.com/docs/manage-your-crawls). I cannot assist you further as only you have access to this crawler.

FYI:
vitepress has alternative searching:
https://vitepress.dev/reference/default-theme-search#local-search

If it's possible it, I switch to local search.

Is something wrong with docsearch?

@kazupon I've replaced algolia with local search in #1488. Through my observations, local search can work just fine. If you agree, it's fine to use local search for the time being, as no search is inconvenient for users right now.
