HI.
I was using an email from hotmail to send the ebooks to my reader.

That was working with user/pass but now microsoft dont support anymore that. They want that you use OAuth2 but it seems that Calibre-web dont support this.
Do you know any other email o could use? or some a fix to this???

thank you very much!

Im using the last version of Calibre-web!
Also i have Calibre-web in a local server and was installed from PIP.

I have the same issue, sending from a hotmail account to the address doesn't work anymore. I get an error stating that basic authentication is disabled.

I've looked at the link that OzzieIsaacs posted above and I can't see how to use the information to allow the previous functionality.
Option 1 contained in the link looks like it would work, but that's what gives me the basic authentication error message.

Hi.
I cant neither.
I ended up using https://www.mailersend.com/
the free plan. And it is working.

If you make it work with hotmail or a popular service, please share the info here. Mailersend is working but i want a backup if something fails later.

Thanks

I remembered I already had an smtp relay set up so I could send scans etc from my printer. I used sendinblue, which is now called Brevo - probably similar to your link.

Since calibre-web lets you specify who your send from is shown as, I didn't even need to change anything at Amazon's end. The book just sent.

Problem with Mailsender is that Sender Identities is a payed feature.

I used Mailjet as SMTP Relay, and if you register with the account you were using for calibre, its automatically allowed as sender identity (since you have to verify it for the account creation).

No problem so far, and best solution (and fastest to setup) I've found. I wasn't keen on having to migrate and battle with a GMX and also tell all my users to update their amazon settings.

+1 for the same issue. I also tried signing up for Mailjet account but it was closed immediately before I could use it

lol, the same for me. Hilarious. After login they close the account:
"Your account has been closed for an undisclosed reason."
pfffffffffffffffffffff
