Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I was experiencing a permission issue that prevented the program from running correctly, but I did not notice it right away because the program does not show to me that it had an error.

Describe the solution you'd like
I would like to get a pop-up window that shows up when the program encounters an error.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Alternatively, it could at least log errors in the file log.
