"reinitialize core"?

In the "Advanced Usage" example, you talk about core reinitialization. Can this be achieved without destroying and creating a new Mpv object?

I'm pretty sure this is referring to an older version of the mpv doc. According to the current mpv's client.h doc all options you'd reasonably expect to be changeable after initialization can in fact be changed. IIRC some options like vo might need to be set before playback is started though (but after init). Your best bet would be to just try, and maybe consult the upstream doc.
