Thanks for merging these changes. The code to actually allow building on kfreebsd didn't get included - I've submitted a new pull request for that. The other changes will take me a few days to test since I'd like to test on at least the main 11 Debian architectures. |

Debian and Ubuntu are moving to a multi-arch layout. You already accepted a patch from Ubuntu to handle this for the platforms they build for, however Debian builds for a much wider range of platforms. We would appreciate your consideration of this pull request to provide multiarch layout support on all supported Debian platforms.
