Facial recognition is probably one of the most commonly accepted AI technologies in the category of image analysis software.
Today, it comes into use across healthcare, retail, and hospitality domains. For example, in retail, the technology aids is fraud control and CX improvement. Indeed, the market for FR in retail is projected to be worth over $7.7 billion by 2022.
Actually, you can read more about FR applications in Iflexion's new report. I personally find it pretty curious.
