Now that $ref has been implemented (see issue #7), implementing 'extends' should be fairly simple. Should be possible to target 0.1.7 for this change.

Only expect this to cover single schema extends, not union extends.

is there an approximate ETA for the 0.1.8? We are trying to decide whether we should wait for the feature, or rework our schemas without extends.

Olia, I'm hoping to have 0.1.8 released some time next week. The changes for 'extends' are mostly complete so this shouldn't be a problem.
