Support for Material Symbols

Google's repo just launched support for a multi-axis dynamic version of the icons called Material Symbols.

Would it make more sense to add the Symbols font files to this project, or make a new repo / package using a similar build process? I guess people probably won't want to distribute both fonts at the same time, right?
