@afshin, @blink1073, @kevin-bates, and I met today and discussed a plan for keeping a minimal level of maintenance+support around jupyter/notebook—at least until we fully freeze that project sometime in the future.

We're proposing to host a weekly, 30-minute working meeting right before the JupyterLab Team meetings.

Anyone is welcome to attend. We'll be merging/closing open PRs and taking practical steps to simplify the maintenance load (listed here).

It's going to be a lot of fun. Trust me, you won't want to miss it! 😎

I think this is a fantastic idea, and may also be a good way to gain inspiration for how to draw more heavy notebook users into the JupyterLab interface
