The default log file path for serial session looks like this: {logs folder of windterm}/{current serial device name}/(log file name), however, COMx is a reserved name in MS Windows, it is not allowed to name a folder by a system I/O device like con, nul, com, lpt, aux, prn etc.

This is my mistake, thank you for providing such detailed instructions. I have confirmed and fixed this bug in the WindTerm_2.4.0_Prerelease_2 version and the new prerelease version will be released in two or three days. Please stay tuned, thank you.
