From experience, I know that Krita stores a thumbnail in its .kra file (which is a zip file) named preview.png. Nextcloud already has support for this format I believe, I think voltaserve will also benefit from this support.

I think this one should be very trivial to implement (more than the Rhino3D one), as it's a matter of extracting the right file from the zip. So sure!
