Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues.

Are you using the latest MineColonies Version?

  • I am running the latest beta/release version of MineColonies for my Minecraft version.
I am also running the latest versions of other mods that are part of my problem.

Did you check on the Wiki? or ask on Discord?

Current Behavior

At the moment I have 8.1k cooked chicken in my warehouse and set cooked chicken as food in my restaurant. The cook is still requesting raw chicken.
The same behave I see with backed potato

Expected Behavior

The restaurant should request cooked chicken, if it is available in a warehouse

Reproduction Steps

  1. set the food to cooked chicken in the restaurant
  2. put raw chicken and cooked chicken in your warehouse

Anything else?

There was a bug in 1.20 with the same behavior (#10452) but it was closed in November

They should be requesting both. They don't know what the warehous ehas, so they request both.

ok, that is possible.
A suggestion could be to implement a recipe tab for the restaurant. So the player is able to define the recipe or delete it. In this case, the cookery could be used to make the food.

The cook cannot craft any recipes, which is why the restaurant doesn’t have a recipe tab

My problem is, I have 8.1k cooked chicken and 5k backed potato. I like to feed them to my colonist without making new items. I would like to save the chickens for some additional meals.

Maybe a setting allow cooking on/off like in some other building (beaking leaves/breeding ..)
