The README has us installing cruft via poetry - is this our preferred route?

This leads to issues like:

We need to have one source of truth on how to set up a linkml project, and all docs should be integrated. We have the README here, the ICBO tutorial docs, and the docs on the main site

Hi,
Yep, I agree with the one source of truth, I was planning to author a new schema and try out LinkML, but now I am a but confused. Initially I went for the template with linkml-ws but it seems that it will be deprecated in favor of the cookiecutter approach if I understood correctly?
Should I wait and monitor developments in this repository as to when I can generate a template with a template generator that would be actively maintained?

Thanks again for the developement of LinkML
Best,
Charlie

We now have a how-to:

https://linkml.io/linkml/howtos/linkml-project-cookiecutter.html

but there isn't a link from the README in this repo back to the how-to

Also it's not clear the how-to adds much beyond what is already in the README?
