Open your web browser and go to the official Docker website: https://www.docker.com/products/docker-desktop

Click on the "Download Docker Desktop for Windows" button.

Select the "Stable" option on the download page. This version is the most stable and recommended for new users.

Click on the downloaded installation file (for example, Docker Desktop Installer.exe) to start the Docker Desktop installation process.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Open the Windows 10 Start menu and search for "Windows Features".

Click on "Turn Windows features on or off" in### the list of options.

Look for the "Windows Subsystem for Linux" option and check the box.

Click "OK" and wait for WSL to finish installing.

Restart your computer to complete the installation.

Once you have downloaded and installed WSL, you can download and install different Linux distributions, such as Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, etc., from the Microsoft Store or from the official website of the distribution you want to use. To do so, follow these steps:

Open the Microsoft Store from the Windows 10 Start menu.

Search for the Linux distribution you want to install (for example, Ubuntu).

Click on "Get" or "Install" to download and install the distribution.

Once installed, open the Linux distribution from the Start menu or from the Windows 10 search bar.

Open your terminal and run the following command to download the Docker Desktop installation script:

curl -fsSL https://get.docker.com -o get-docker.sh

Run the following command to execute the installation script:

sudo sh get-docker.sh

Wait for the installation to complete.

To verify that Docker was installed correctly, run the following command:

docker --version
