thread 'main' panicked at 'Event Stacked(StateStack #155
Comments
Actually I just realised, this is probably caused by footnotes as per #1, if that sounds about right feel free to close this. |
@RyanGreenup Please provide a minimal Markdown file to reproduce this issue and paste in a code block. It's impossible for me to extract the original input from your comment, so I can't test or reproduce. |
That said the error message indicates that it's footnotes causing this which mdcat doesn't yet support, but actually mdcat doesn't enable footnotes in the parser and should never even try to render footnotes. I wonder why it attempts to nonetheless; that's worth a closer look. |
Oh sorry about that, GitHub kept escaping the backticks and I forgot to indent it, I've edited the original comment and I've got it here in case there is formatting issues. I think it's just the first 50 or so lines that causes the issue but I included the whole thing just in case.
It's good to hear that it shouldn't fail despite the footnotes (even if they aren't prettyfied), I've had this occur on a few of my notes and I've had to go back to using bat which is great but doesn't look as nice. |
@RyanGreenup Thanks for the file; I'll check it out. |
Looks as if the underlying markdown library parses footnotes even when they're not enabled, see pulldown-cmark/pulldown-cmark#459 |
@RyanGreenup 0.21.1 is on its way which fixes this issue. |
I use this a lot, it's arguably the best thing sliced bread, occasionally I get errors like to the effect of
thread 'main' panicked
and I figured I should follow the error message and make an issue. It's
possiblyprobably sloppy syntax on my end but I couldn't fix it when I was playing around with it.when i run
mdcat ./myfile.md
this is the verbatim output I get:CLICK ME
This is the markdown that causes it:
CLICK ME
