Livewire breaks when request to back-end is interrupted / failed

As seen in the livewire repository:
livewire/livewire#6957

This issue also seem to occur in this module.

When you have internet connection issues. Or manually put the browser in offline mode. And then interact with a magewire component. The javascript request will fail. Then put back on your internet connection, and now the component is stuck.

So now I am wondering.

1. How do I check the livewire version used for magewire?
2. Can livewire be updated to also include this fix?
