I am writing to suggest a feature that I think would make PowerToy even better: a plugin community similar to VS Code.
VS Code is a popular code editor that supports a rich ecosystem of extensions that can enhance its functionality and customize its appearance. Users can browse, install, update, and uninstall extensions from the VS Code Marketplace, or create their own extensions and share them with others. This feature makes VS Code very flexible and adaptable to different scenarios and preferences.
I think PowerToy could benefit from a similar feature, as it would allow users to extend its utilities according to their own needs. For example, users could create plugins for new window layouts, keyboard shortcuts, mouse gestures, file operations, etc. They could also browse, install, update, and uninstall plugins from a PowerToy Plugin Marketplace, or share their own plugins with other users. This feature would make PowerToy more diverse and versatile, and also harness the power of many developers to improve PowerToy together.
Scenario when this would be used?
When people need a feature but PowerToy doesn't have it.
