Description of the new feature / enhancement

About PowerToya Run

I would like to be able to enter options when searching to make it easier to find what I am looking for.
For example,

  • "b: example" to search bing
  • "w: example" to search Wikipedia
  • "app: example" to search application software installed on my computer
  • "file: example" to search files and folders on your computer ”example" to search for files and folders on your computer
  • "url: example.com" to open a URL, and so on.

Of course, the commands can be freely configured by the user.
Also, multiple candidates can be listed by separating them with a slash.
Example: "b/app: Word" to search bing and computer apps at the same time

Scenario when this would be used?

For example, let's try searching for "Edge". The results will be

  • Microsoft Edge (application)
  • (running task)
  • new tab
  • edge (search on the web).

If I want to start Edge, I can do so by pressing the Enter key. But if you want to look up Edge, you have to press the cursor key three times. So, we add the "b" option. Type "b: edge" to display the results of a search for "edge" in bing.

There are already direct activation commands that you can set in the PowerToys settings. But you currently can't combine them

I don't know how to tell you this, but it looks like this.
I'm sorry to mention the name of another browser on a Microsoft page, but it looks like Vivaldi's "Search Engine Nicknames".

Search Engine Nicknames

The "b" and "w" in the example are one of the nicknames.
I'm sorry to mention the name of the browser.

I don't understand English, so I used Deep-L translation.
Sorry if it was difficult to understand.
