Release a new version?

It's been almost 13 months since the last release of this gem. Could a new one be released please? 😇

There are many changes that have been made in the interim which will be nice to have. Personally, I've had to implement some workarounds to cater for the work in #1536 which isn't in the lastest 2.8.1 gem.
