Following on from this thread in Slack.

User Story

As a… engineer on the AP
I need/want/expect to… keep our infrastructure / products / services up to date
So that…

Proposal

Schedule a ticket to be created in the AP repository every X period per tool. The ticket should link to the appropriate schedule (for example) per tool. If a tool does not need updated then the ticket can be closed. If the tool does need updated then this ticket can be refactored or a new one can be created.

Additional Information

Scheduling Issue Creation

This applies to infrastructure / products / services where dependabot does not create PRs etc.

Definition of Done

  • Establish every tool for which this approach is relevant
  • Schedule issue creation per tool
  • Test (do this in a personal repo if necessary)
