https://endoflife.date/python - security support for Python 3.8 ended 3 weeks ago (07 October 2024), let's bump the Python version up to 3.9!

Use case

Security support dropped for Python 3.8, the minimum version is 3.7, which is risky in terms of security and vulnerability prevention.

Contribution

Update Python version and run the code through linters and tests.
