Crashing 2DS sound hax home brew 11.3.0-36U

I have created an account to get some answers regarding the soundhax application and homebrew hack in order to use PKHex on my 2DS system.

This system was recently purchased and the SD card is untouched. I downloaded all of the OLD files when it came to other app and the sound hax application.

I downloaded and extracted the starter pack for home brew as well and looked at every file individually comparing it to many tutorials and on error videos. My SD card looks exactly the same as this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhzTson1abo&t=0s (1:28)

When I open the nintendo DS sound application and run ❤️ nedwill 2016 the top of my screen turns from red to green color before an error has occurred and forces the softare to close along with my 2DS.

I have tried reformatting everything and retrying three times. I have made sure to grab the OLD files and followed instructions as carefully as I possibly could.

Is there something I may be missing? Or is there a problem with it being a 2DS and old?
