Node.js Foundation Technical Steering Committee (TSC) Meeting 2018-03-14 #504
Comments
I'm traveling and I'll likely not be able to join (but I'll do my best). |
I'm travelling this week. I had thought I was going to be able to make it but I did the math the wrong way and I'll actually be on the plane. @Trott can you chair this week? |
Added meeting info in top level issue info. |
Sure, I can do it. |
@Trott thanks. Do you have the userid/password to log in as the Foundation users for zoom ? |
No, I do not. |
If you create a lastpass account and send me the email, I'll share with you. |
Of note you need to watch and promote other members to panelists and the co-hosts. To start the streaming to YouTube the option is under the "other" three dots option. |
Please also add me as an observer |
I won't be able to make it today. I have an all hands meeting at work this week, so we have plans that interfere. Apologies, but I will be back next week. |
I will not make it today. |
@maddhruv you can follow the live stream at https://www.youtube.com/c/nodejs+foundation/live. |
Out of concern that I wouldn't get it right, I got the meeting going early. If anyone wants to join early and I can make sure I can promote them to a panelist or co-host or whichever I'm supposed to do, hop on! |
Is the meeting running or is it cancelled? The link just displays an error to me. |
@ChALkeR The meeting is running. There's 10 of us in there right now... |
Perhaps this link works better: https://zoom.us/j/756961980 |
@targos Yes, thanks, that one seems to work better! |
@mhdawson The original link required a login and after I did that it just showed me error 2015 on that link, something-something about «this account is not premium» (crude translation). I suggest updating the template to include the join link (the one @targos mentioned) for the next time to avoid confusion 😄. |
Also, the web join link (that's theoretically reachable from the one @targos mentioned, but is hidden using css): https://zoom.us/wc/756961980/join |
Thanks @MylesBorins for helping steer the Zoom aspects of the meeting, thanks @Fishrock123 for handling all the Q&A stuff, thanks @mhdawson for hooking me up with the necessary Zoom access, thanks @bnb for giving me lots of reassuring guidance before the meeting on making the Zoom stuff work. |
I mis-reported the Moderation Team activity for the week during the meeting. Here's the correct information. Moderation team update for the week: Deleted one questionable comment from a user who otherwise has not participated in the nodejs org repositories. See moderation repo issue 181 for details. @nodejs/moderation @nodejs/community-committee |
Minutes in #508 Thanks, everyone! |
@Trott thanks for the heads up on the link. Next time I'll take a closer look at the link I grab. |

We stream our conference call straight to YouTube so anyone can listen to it live, it should start playing at https://www.youtube.com/c/nodejs+foundation/live when we turn it on. There's usually a short cat-herding time at the start of the meeting and then occasionally we have some quick private business to attend to before we can start recording & streaming. So be patient and it should show up.
Many of us will be on IRC in #node-dev on Freenode if you'd like to interact, we have a Q/A session scheduled at the end of the meeting if you'd like us to discuss anything in particular. @nodejs/collaborators in particular if there's anything you need from the TSC that's not worth putting on as a separate agenda item, this is a good place for that
