little cloud icon stays red

The cloud icon stays red regardless of whether the synchronizer is running. From the Slack discussion:

It's probably looking for the Synchronizer inside of the XOS/UI container, and it's not there. We should probably make the synchronizer container push status into the DB.

We might want to make Synchronizers first class objects in the data model as well, so we can keep track of them.
