Login: first time login error #5427

On Planet Learning, I had to try 3 times to log in successfully with a new account. The account is getting created, because I can't make another with that name, but I can't log in with it.

After further experimentation, it seems that the issue is when users create an account and don't wait for all the snackbars to finish. If they tap away, the verification process seems to break permanently. If they don't tap anything and wait for the "account created successfully snackbar" everything works fine.
