oqsprovider is used as part of the openssl test suite giving both components assurance of mutually correct operation.
As noted in openssl/openssl#24261 (comment) this is currently only true for openssl "master", 3.3, and 3.2 branches, even though also 3.1 and 3.0 branches are supported by oqsprovider.
This issue is to suggest backporting openssl/openssl#24261 also to those branches. It would help ascertain correct operation of oqsprovider in upcoming update releases to those openssl versions.
