Id like to find ways to enrich the individual member pages a bit to make them more compelling to click through (and perhaps make them extra appealing to search engine crawlers.)

https://opensourcepledge.com/members/

Ideal ideas would be ones that:

  • don’t take much time for members to contribute; ideally they could contribute via email/form.
  • Interesting to compare/contrast from company to company to encourage visitors to click through and explore

One idea: a list of the open source software their company utilizes - their open source stack. Very open to other ideas!

Hey Greg, cool idea!

We were talking about a similar thing in the thanks.dev issues: thnxdev/issues#3

Some inspiration from BackYourStack:

I swear I saw a badge that had a listing of the top 3 Open Source projects that company depended on, and I remember that looking nice, but I can't find it anymore.

don’t take much time for members to contribute; ideally they could contribute via email/form.

We could even make it dynamic, so that they can do it themselves, for example with an URL like https://opensourcepledge.com/members/sentry/badge?dep1=eslint&dep2=python&dep3=flask.

I think the showing their stack is a great idea, because it's SEO bait but more importantly it's actually informative and could lead to good conversations and/or free promotion for projects

I just realised I had misread "pages" as "badges". 🤦🏻‍♂️ Still broadly relevant, I guess.
