FAQ Manufacturer: Is there a way to be steward for a project and at the same time use the project as part of a product?

In case there was a decision to open source code that is used as a component in products. This could be for example a library or some infrastructure that is used in products that is not directly monetized. Is it possible to be a steward for this component and at the same time a manufacturer that uses the component.

• Move project to a FOSS foundation?

• Are there other options?

• What are the risks?

• The risk for the wider community could probably be that companies don't do this anymore.
