HEIC images won't upload

On Galaxy S24. I've tried uploading multiple photos straight from my phone's camera and after hitting upload and getting the "Please wait" message, nothing happens, my post is gone and no notification as to what happened. This is after seeing the image preview show up perfectly fine when editing the caption for the post. Converted it from heic to jpg and the same photo uploaded without issue, but it was just some guesswork that allowed me to figure that out. Is HEIC support going to be added? At the very least we need some kind of error message telling us what's wrong instead of being left in the dark.
